OUR MISSION

Little Hearts United’s mission is to help children who have tragically lost loved ones to violence. In doing so, we hope to show these children that they are not alone and never forgotten. Little Hearts United provides individual counseling, mentoring and group activities to provide a safe nurturing environment for them to process their grief and develop healthy coping skills.

Many children throughout Baltimore City and the state of Maryland are forced to deal with traumatic life experiences without proper mental health resources or the guidance of an adult. Whether they have lost mom, dad, brother or sister, these children are hurting and desperately need love and support. Our program provides individual therapy that will allow the children to process their grief in a healthy manner while also connecting them with mentors that will provide positive relationships to ensure they remain on the right path. Additionally, Little Hearts United will connect the children with resources throughout Baltimore City and the state of Maryland that provide relief for the children and their families.

Meet the President

Christopher Gray, a native of Baltimore City, has witnessed the evolution of his hometown through various phases of growth and change, characteristic of many metropolitan areas. Throughout his life, Christopher has been motivated by a strong desire to make a meaningful impact and lend a helping hand to his community. Starting his educational journey at James Mosher Elementary School and continuing on to St. Ignatius Loyola Academy and Mcdonogh School, Christopher has always been rooted in the city of Baltimore. His deep connection and familiarity with the local community have fueled his passion for making a difference.

Driven by the mantra of being a "man for others," Christopher has actively sought opportunities to contribute to the betterment of Baltimore. Engaging in community service initiatives with Moveable Feast, dedicating time to tutoring young students, and tirelessly searching for mentorship opportunities, he strives to improve the community and inspire the next generation of leaders who will shape Baltimore's future. With boundless enthusiasm and a deep sense of purpose, he is determined to utilize his skills and experience to make a substantial impact in Baltimore. For Christopher, Little Hearts United represents a chance to fulfill his lifelong aspiration of positively shaping the lives of future leaders in the city he calls home.
